Hello Everyone,

The cost of the Bible Quiz retreat is going to remain $25.00 again this year. We hope everyone is planning to come as it is a great opportunity for us to get together.

I do have a couple of questions/requests for each of you.

First, I would like to know what everyone thinks of our current format of quizzing and other activities we are doing at the retreat. Some teams have told me they really like the format and others are wondering if we shouldn't change it up a bit for more of an educational weekend. Of course, I would like to hear from you on what you like and don't like.

So, here is what I am looking for. Tell me who is coming first of all. Then tell me what you do and don't like or what you would like to see us do at the retreat. We could do some more educational things or we can keep the quizzing and quoting format or we could do a little of both. Either way, our goal is to help develop friendships and skills to make our teams better.

Congratulations to the following teams for taking first in each Division and getting the top spots at District Finals:

Northern League

A Division 1st - First, Lafayette

Novice Division 1st - First, Lafayette

B Division 1st - Radiant Life, Elkhart

Southern League

A Division 1st - First, Franklin

Novice Division 1st - First, Franklin

B Division 1st - First, Franklin

District Finals is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th at Lakeview Christian Center in Indianapolis. Orientation will begin at 8.30am so please plan to be on time. Quizzing will start promptly at 9am.

I will send some information later as to officials and hopefully we can get this year set up to be our best State/District Finals ever.

Please send me your confirmation as soon as possible but definitely by Friday, February 29th so we can get everything set up. I look for this to be a great time for Indiana Teen Bible Quiz.

An update from John Hunter, DBQC:

Hey Everyone, I hope you are all doing great! The January Leagues are over and I have attached the results. Things are shaping up for a great year in Indiana. Hope you are all as excited as I am. I have a couple of things to tell you about and thought I would get a line out to you all today.

We have a number of issues we are dealing with for League Finals. It was the original plan to have League Finals on March 8th but we have had a number of teams plan to attend the River Classic in Springfield, Missouri that weekend. Since we don't want to keep those teams who are working toward higher levels of competition from attending, I thought I would offer a couple of alternatives.

I need to know as soon as possible who is not going to go to the River Classic and who is. We will likely keep the League Finals on March 8th for anyone not attending the River Classic and need to set a date for League Finals for those who are planning to go. The choices will be February 23rd and March 1st for those attending the River Classic. I need to settle on a day so let's get busy and let me know so we can get everyone settled in on a date.

I am interested in knowing which coaches in Indiana would like to have a coaches training day this year sometime in the spring. The reason I ask is simple, we need to invest in you to help you achieve your goals of coaching teenagers in Bible Quiz. I think with so many great coaches in Indiana right now it would be a shame not to try and pull together some of this knowledge and invest in those coaches who want to know more.

Would you respond in the next couple of weeks with your interest in Coaches Training. I think we can grow this ministry if we invest in you to make you better able to disciple and train your quizzers.
